Paget Gorman Society
Helps children and young people with speech and language disorders to communicate and develop functional language through the use of Paget Gorman Signed Speech (PGSS). PGSS is a manual signing system which reflects normal patterns of English with reference to the main grammatical features of the language. It is used in approximately 100 special schools and units in the UK. The Society runs courses of training, awards qualifications and publishes a range of supporting materials.

Paralympics
The official Olympics internet site, Paralympics section:It is SPOC's assignment to: stage the Paralympic Games in accordance with the Host Contract between the Sydney Olympic Organising Committee and the International Paralympic Committee; raise money to fund the operation of SPOC; organise the sports program, including preparing and operating all venues and facilities for the Paralympic Games; organise an arts festival program for the Paralympic Games; organise accommodation and transport for competitors, team officials and official personnel in relation to the Paralympic Games; and promote the interests of the Paralympic movement and athletes with a disability.

Parents for Inclusion
Parents helping parents so their disabled children can learn, make friends and have a voice in ordinary school and throughout life PI works closely with the Alliance for Inductive Education, and Disability Equality in Education to seek inclusiion for all in mainstream. Patients' Association
The Association is an advice service and a collective voice for patients, independent of govt., the health professions and the drug industry. Can provide information on patients' rights, complaints procedures and access to health services. Helpline open Mon-Thurs 10-4pm.

PHAB - Physically Disabled and Able-Bodied
To promote and encourage people with and without physical disabilities to come together on equal terms, to achieve complete integration within the wider community. Phab England has over 300 affiliated clubs. Run 30 holidays per year.

Plain English Campaign
Aims to help people and good companies write in good plain English, by providing plain English alternatives to long-winded and confusing words. They prodive services to people by translating jargon into plain English, Helping solicitors and lawyers explain legal documents. Also offer guidance and practice in writing plain English. Produce a range of publications

Prince's Trust
Helps people of 30 yrs of age and younger with a disability to start up their own business and offers advice and grants of upto o1500 and loans of upto o5000 with reasonable terms of repayment. Each new business assisted is given a volunteer adviser to offer general business advice. There is also a helpline on 0800842842 where the location of the local office and comittee can be obtained.

Project 2001
To open the door to provide qualifications to people of any age who have built up skills through experience in the voluntary sector, either paid or unpaid. Provide advice and grants of up to o2000. Publish an information pack.

Psoriatic Arthropathy Alliance
A nationl registered charity dedicated to raising awareness and helping people with psoriatic arthritis and it's associated skin disorder psoriasis. There is a quarterly publication, information sheets, access to local contacts and an annual conference.
